#PowerTanGambling - NCAA Tournament Round 1

Holy fuck gentlemen it's tournament time and I'm absolutely fired up. I would like to preface this entire tournament with this: I understand at this point that every pick we make will most likely be directly against Powers/Tan followers. My message to you is simple: business is business 🫱🏼‍🫲🏼. Also, I'm sure you all have seen the Upper Decky X Lacrosse Unlimited merch collab, so if you haven't got yours yet, tail this weekend's #PowerTan to buy the entire drop on Vegas' tab for🆓.

Season Totals

Record: 15-17

Risk: $4,211.00

Winnings: $4,370.33

Net Gain/Loss: +$159.33

After our longest cold streak of the season, the Tan and Powers machine is fucken back. ND got the ball rolling (shocker) and we made a nice chunk of change on Knobloch going 4th overall in the PLL draft on Tuesday. That pick technically falls under this week's plays so we're already 1-0 on the week 🏧. Knobby is an absolute weapon at the bars and sending him to the south to play ball might be a bad idea on Towers' part simply for the fact that his shooting percentage on southern belle blondes will far exceed his shooting percentage on the field. Best of luck brother 🤙🏼.

Considering we're already 1-0 on the week and it's fucken tournament time we actually have 2 #PowerTans for you this weekend. I'm planning to outdrink both Wagner and The Mount's lacrosse programs combined by noon on both days to properly prepare for the full weekend of electricity we have in front of us. Bag will be involved as well so that I can maintain consciousness into the late slates. Let's get into the plays.

Denver ML vs. Michigan, Penn State ML vs. Georgetown. +200

Wager: $75 to pay: $225

Princeton -1.5 vs. Maryland. +110

Wager: $125 to pay: $262.50

Let's start with the Denver game. I've said all season that I think Michigan are frauds. I still have no fucken clue how they won the Big 10 but here they are. Boehm is going to be so fucking hungover from getting drafted (congrats btw) that I'm not sure if he'll be able to see straight by Saturday evening. I just don't have the faith in Michigan's defense to be able to bet on them in this one. Denver on the other hand dropped a shitter to Nova but other than that have been a wagon towards the end of their campaign. I think these guys are being slept on a little bit, and they've shown unmatched grit and will levels throughout the season that I think they pull this one out. I don't like the spread being set to +1.5 on their end but at -160 I think that's a safe play all day. Denver also does a fuck ton of drugs. All in all I don't think Michigan can do it outside of the Big 10 and roll Pios.

Penn State Georgetown is going to be a fucken awesome game. My X factor in this game is Jack Fraycon. This dude is a fucken freak between the pipes and he can absolutely steal Penn State a game against just about anyone. Georgetown has Anderson on the other end of the field who's had a great season as well, so the goalie matchup is going to be sweet to watch. I like Penn State's offense more than I like Georgetown's and I know for a fact Penn State has a sour taste in their mouths from that Michigan L, so I expect them to be firing on all cylinders and pull this one out. Georgetown's players are also in the midst of studying for finals, something the Penn State boys would never even consider doing. The only finals Penn State is studying for are taking place in Philadelphia.

Lastly, the solo play and the big boy: Princeton. Am I still fuming about taking Maryland +1.5 against Hopkins and them losing 7-5? Absolutely. Have I gained any faith and trust in their offense since then? Fuck no. They got their buttholes fondled by Penn State after that and while Wierman should be getting them a decent share of possession I think Princeton has the ability to outscore them by a fairly large margin. The Ivy League was tough this year (still fucken nerds) but Princeton is battle tested against some of the top teams in the country and are coming off wins against Yale, Yale again, and Penn with a combined score differential of 47-29, or +18. To be honest I don't think Maryland beats either of those two teams and I think they drive 70mph into a concrete wall in a smartcar here against the Tigers. I would also like to add that I wanted Maryland to miss the tournament all together to light a fire under their asses for next year after a very underwhelming season, but as usual Tillman worked his magic and avoided any glimpse of adversity that his men would have had to face. Let's fucken go Princeton.
